2 If You Don't Receive the Email
If you haven't received the password reset email within 5-10 minutes, try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Your Spam/Junk Folder
Password reset emails are sometimes flagged as spam by email providers. Look in:
- Spam or Junk folder
- Promotions tab (Gmail)
- Updates or Social tabs (Gmail)
- Other/Clutter folder (Outlook)
2. Verify Your Email Address
Common email mistakes include:
- Typos: Double-check for typos in your email address
- Wrong domain: @gmail.com vs @googlemail.com, @yahoo.com vs @ymail.com
- Old email: You may have registered with a different email address
- Work vs Personal: Did you use your work or personal email?
3. Wait and Retry
Email delivery can sometimes be delayed. Wait 10-15 minutes before requesting another reset link.
4. Check Email Filters
If you use email filters or forwarding rules, they might be interfering with delivery. Check your email settings.
5. Add to Safe Senders
To ensure you receive future emails from the system, add the sender email address to your contacts or safe senders list.
